Terms of Use
Last updated 14 August 2026
Cinamour is a dating app for film lovers, currently in development. These terms apply to the waitlist at cinamour.app, which is live now, and set out the rules that will apply to the Cinamour app when it opens. By joining the waitlist or using Cinamour, you agree to them.
1. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist means giving Cinamour your email address and your country and city. In return you get one email when Cinamour launches. It is not an account, it does not reserve a username, and it does not guarantee access: a waitlist entry does not guarantee that Cinamour will launch on any particular date or be available in your country's app store.
Do not submit an email address that is not yours. Automated or bulk sign-ups are not permitted and are rate-limited.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be legally able to enter into this agreement where you live.
- You must not have been previously removed from Cinamour for a safety or conduct reason.
- You may hold one Cinamour account at a time.
3. Your account and your profile
You are responsible for what you put on your profile and for keeping access to your account secure. Your profile must represent you: your own photos, your real first name and your real age. Impersonating another person, using someone else's photos, or misstating your age is a breach of these terms.
Profile photos are checked automatically before they appear in discovery, and a photo may be rejected. Cinamour may also review a photo manually in exceptional cases such as an appeal or a report.
4. What you may not do
- Harass, threaten, stalk, defame or intimidate anyone.
- Post sexually explicit content, content involving minors, violent or hateful content, or content promoting self-harm.
- Use Cinamour for commercial solicitation, advertising, recruitment, or fundraising.
- Solicit money, payment details or personal financial information from other members.
- Post someone else's personal information, or share private messages, photos or profile content from Cinamour outside the app.
- Scrape, crawl, bulk-download or otherwise systematically collect member profiles or data.
- Use bots, automation, or reverse-engineer, probe or interfere with the service or its security controls.
- Create an account after your previous account was removed for a conduct or safety reason.
Blocking and reporting are enforced on Cinamour's servers, not only in the interface. A member you block disappears from your discovery, likes, matches and messages, and cannot reach you.
5. Your content
Your photos, text and film selections remain yours. By posting them you give Cinamour the licence it needs to store them and display them to other members inside the app, and to make copies for backup, safety review and technical operation. That licence exists so the product can function; it ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies retained in backups or in safety records as described in the Privacy Policy.
Cinamour will not use your photos or profile in advertising without asking you first.
6. Film data
Film and director information, posters and portraits shown in Cinamour come from The Movie Database (TMDB). Cinamour is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Letterboxd data comes from an export file you supply yourself and, after that, from your own public Letterboxd RSS feed; Cinamour is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Letterboxd.
7. Safety
Cinamour moderates photos automatically and acts on reports, but it does not conduct criminal background checks on members and cannot verify that every member is who they say they are. Use ordinary caution: meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and do not send money to anyone you have met on Cinamour. You are responsible for your own interactions with other members.
8. Paid features
Cinamour intends to offer optional paid features. None are available or being sold yet, and no pricing is in effect. If and when they launch, they will be sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing and refunds will follow those stores' rules, and these terms will be updated first.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your Cinamour account at any time from inside the app, and ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing huseyin@cinamour.app. What deletion removes is described in the Privacy Policy.
Cinamour may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, that presents a safety risk to other members, or where required by law. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so, you will be told why.
10. Availability
Cinamour is in development and is provided as-is. Features described on this website may change, and the service may be unavailable, interrupted or reset while it is being built. Nothing on this website is a promise of a specific feature, launch date, or launch city.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Cinamour is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, or for the conduct of other members, whether online or in person. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer where those apply.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms will change as Cinamour is built, and substantially before launch. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account or waitlist entry.
